We end the thesis with a discussion highlighting possible further research directions. An electronic version of the doctoral dissertation is available on the e-thesis site of the University of Helsinki at ISBN:978-9-9.In the second part of the thesis we propose and evaluate new Max SAT encodings to two important data analysis tasks: correlation clustering and bounded treewidth Bayesian network learning.Tags: Floor Plan For BusinessKnights Columbus Jfk EssayExample Of Critical Thinking SkillsSample Business Budget PlanProject Management Dissertation TopicsRetail Manager Cover Letter No ExperienceEssay On The Book Thief By Markus Zusak

Specifically we contribute to both Max SAT solving and encoding techniques.
In the first part of the thesis we contribute to Max SAT solving technology by developing solver independent Max SAT preprocessing techniques that re-encode Max SAT instances into other instances.
The first of the seven IIT's to be established, it is officially recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India.
This collection of MIT Theses in DSpace contains selected theses and dissertations from all MIT departments.
Going beyond previously proposed preprocessing rules we also propose and evaluate a Max SAT-specific preprocessing technique called subsumed label elimination (SLE).
We show that SLE is theoretically different from previously proposed Max SAT preprocessing rules and that using SLE in conjunction with other preprocessing rules improves empirical performance of several Max SAT solvers.
