This study deals with the description of Tagalog syntax using the techniques of transformational-generative grammar.At best, t h i s t h e s i s , using the techniques of t r a n s f o r m a t i o n a l - g e n e r a t i v e grammar, attempts to look i n t o the deep r e g u l a r i t i e s that u n d e r l i e Tagalog s t r u c t u r e s .
